Our Policies

It is our mission to provide our clients with a calm, friendly, inclusive environment. With all respect, we kindly request our guests to observe and comply with our policies.

  • At The Face Space we are committed to the high-quality sanitation standards and the health and safety of our guests and staff. All tools, beds, equipment and high-traffic areas are sanitized after each appointment. Staff wears face mask coverings during high contact services such as facials. Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the space for your convenience.

  • It is best to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you arrive later than the scheduled start time, we still have to end your treatment on the initial scheduled end time. Please keep in mind that you will be charged for the cost of the initial scheduled appointment. In order to get the most of your treatments by us, please be on time. If your are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment and cancelation fees may apply.

  • Your appointment is very important to us. They are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment time for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments; 48 hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule groups of two appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment please call us at 518-326-2022. If we do not answer or it is outside of business hours, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Cancelations with less that 24 hours notice result in a 50% charge of service. No-call-no-shows are subject to up to 100% charge of service. Prepaid appointments attached to a package are subject to a $50 rescheduling fee charge if you are rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice.

  • If you are sick or under the weather, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment. We also would like to remind you that The Face Space is an open space facial bar and want to make sure to respect and protect everyone’s well-being.

    While we understand circumstances differ, our cancellation policy still applies with late notice of cancellation.

  • The Face Space’s standard policy is that appointments canceled with less than 24-hour notice incur a cancellation fee. During the winter months, we are willing to make an exception to that rule. If the capital district area is under a winter weather advisory and you believe that it would be unsafe or impossible for you to travel to your appointment, you may reschedule within the 24-hour window at no charge. At the same turn, if you think for any reason The Face Space may be closed, please call prior to your appointment to confirm The Face Space is open and operating as normal.

  • A valid credit card number is required at the time of booking. This policy also applies to gift card and gift certificate holders. Full payment is due at time of service. If you choose to use an alternate form of payment at the time of your appointment, you may do so. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. We do not accept personal checks.

  • Please advise us at time of booking of any health conditions i.e.; allergies, injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy or special needs which may affect your services.

    Some treatments are not recommended for guests who have certain conditions. For your safety we require a doctor’s clearance before beginning treatment, particularly in the face of the following conditions:

    -Cancer
    -Cardiovascular conditions, including high or low blood pressure
    -Swollen or painful lymph nodes
    -Undiagnosed skin rash or thrombosis
    -New injury of any kind
    -Open sores
    -Arthritis (osteo- or rheumatoid)
    -Diabetes
    -Blood Disorder and Disease

  • Prices and services are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to keep our clients up to date on any changes that may occur but encourage all clients to inquire about pricing and available services when booking your appointment.

  • Physical gift cards may be purchased at “The Face Space” during business hours.

    You can always purchase a gift certificate via our website which you receive in an email form. Please remind to your loved ones to show a printed version of the email to check out their gift certificate upon arrival at our “The Face Space”.

    Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates even if lost, misplaced or stolen. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash.

  • Unfortunately, skin care products, “The Face Space” services and gift cards/certificates are non-refundable.

  • Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home. The Face Space is not responsible for any lost or misplaced items.

  • Gratuities are not included in the price of services, memberships or packages. Gratuities are graciously accepted by The Face Space personnel. If you wish to show appreciation for a job well done or service enjoyed, gratuity envelopes are available at the reception desk when you check out. Eighteen to twenty percent of the total service is an industry standard.

  • As a courtesy to other guests, please maintain a quiet level of conversation.

    Also, please, silence your cell phones to ensure minimal distractions during your services upon checking in.

  • For the protection of our space and other clients, we are unable to accommodate visitors accompanying clients in the treatment areas or the waiting area of The Face Space at this time. This includes spouses, family, friends, and children if the are not scheduled to be treated.

  • All Face Space guests must be 12 years of age or older, minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. All guests under the age of 18 must bring a signed consent form.

  • Please understand that we do not require our staff to work outside of their scheduled hour or use their personal accounts to assist our clientele. We ask all appointments to be scheduled, canceled, or altered via our online booking portal or by phone, 518-326-2022. If you call outside of business hours, or we are unable to answer your call, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.

  1. Individuals who have received Botox or Dermal fillers (any injectables), chemical peels, micro-needling, micro-blading, permanent makeup/tattoo, cosmetic treatments with laser or ultrasound, must wait at least 2 weeks before any facial treatment can be performed.

  2. Individuals prescribed Accutane (Isotretinoin Therapy) must wait 6-12 months after completion of the prescription before any facial treatment can be performed.

  3. If you are currently under the care of a doctor or dermatologist and taking oral anit-biotics or topical antibiotics, we ask you to wait two weeks after you discontinue use to receive any facial treatment.
